I love trying local places but this one is one that I wouldn’t go back to. Pizza was okay, kids enjoyed it. Salad was not that great but it’s a salad. We saw a sign outside saying “full bar” but when we asked for a drink menu they didn’t have one. We picked two random drinks from the top of our heads. Then the bread came out, it was completely burned and hard. My husband ordered chicken parmesan with spaghetti, chicken was rubbery. The baby ate some spaghetti because my husbands appetite went away with the chicken. I ordered the chicken Alfredo, again rubbery chicken and the sauce tasted like soap. Anyways the waitress came for our FULL plates and didn’t ask if we didn’t like it or anything....
My grandparents and I ate here about a week ago. We all loved it. They start you out with some bread as an appetizer and it was amazing. Crunchy on the outside, but soft and fluffy in the middle. If I had to change one thing about it, I guess I'd say maybe bring some bigger butter dishes. It's a little hard to dip the bread in the tiny butter containers, but it wasn't a big deal to me. Tucked away in a corner, the atmosphere is warm and inviting with eclectic Cracker Barrel-style walls. The zepole was enjoyable, as it's hard to go wrong with fried dough. Have been going to Saljos for more years than I can remember. Here you will find a variety of Italian classics, such as fettuccine Alfredo, meatball subs, and Caesar salad. The portions are healthy sized, so you are getting your money's worth. On my last visit, my friend got the lasagna. Literally after he took his first bite, he closed his eyes. He proclaimed it as one of the best lasagnes he has ever had. Personal favorites are either the grilled chicken or shrimp Caesar salad. Saljo's is a fantastic restaurant to enjoy a meal with family, friends, or even alone. They also host birthday parties and the servers always make sure to cater to your preferences. The food is delicious, especially the eggplant parmesan, lasagna, pizza, and Greek salad. I've heard that the Margaritas are also worth trying. Don't forget to bring some change with you as they have a small game room that children and teens love. I have been a patron of Saljo's for years and it is my favorite local eatery.
