A golden gem as you commute from Newry to Donegal in the centre of Aughnacloy. Our party of 4 dined at this superb restaurant on Saturday. The meet n greet was wonderful. Friendly staff who were more than happy to accommodate us. We were seated promptly in a busy environment and drinks provided as we browsed a menu fit for any palet. Food arrived on piping hot plates. A range of fresh, well presented cuisine! Excellent quality, attentive staff and you can pay Euro for Pound if that suits you. Salleys is so perfect that we decided not to dine in Donegal, rather give Salleys a second visit. We had a combo starter plated for 2 but 4 of us tucked in and it was delicious with more than enough foo...
we stopped off here on our way to Fermanagh for a new year's get away. we were shown to our table promptly but after our drinks and food order was taken the promptness and attention finished. we waited 40mims for my husbands soggy hawaiian burger practically slide across the table to him as the young red haired male server didn't appear to be in the best of spirits, possibly because the other staff seemed to have deserted him, they all just disappeared with the result that a further 15 mins later I had to a ask a passing waitress was there any sign of my food and my husbands side order. I could go on but I won't because I know I just won't be recommending this eatery to anyone I know.
We had booked, thankfully as it was quite busy. I had battered mushrooms which was well presented and I was impressed by how many were on the plate. I got a steak which was cooked to perfection for me, red and it was really juicy. I think this is only the third time I’ve ever been in Sally’s but I don’t mind the 1 1/2 drive to it for that type of food. There’s plenty of parking right outside the door. At first I thought the lady who gave us the menus was a little dry on it but she was lovely and friendly with a bit of humour. Will DV, be back.
It's so unusual to be offered a separate vegan menu with numerous choices. Lovely, friendly restaurant which is able to accommodate vegan and vegetarian choices.I'm used to having to ask for so many components to be removed from my meal to make it vegan and often there's little left although I pay for the full meal. The main menu also seems excellent with good traditional choices. Call out to the back entrance to see the 15 yr old rooster who just resides quietly in the covered smoking area. When they 're clock watching from the moment you get in you know you 're in for a bumpy ride!! Staff rude forgetful, food wasn 't bad but nothing to get excited about either.Staff couldn 't wait to get home by 10 o 'clock the place was empty , they had cleared up around us once we 'd paid with cash no card facility we were out the door the lights off behind us. Poor experience all-round. Won 't be back.
Very bland food, lack of atmosphere and mixed service... young staff pleasant but more mature waitresses very rude (particularly lady with curled blonde hair who grabbed an empty drinks glass and scuttled away quickly without asking would I like another drink). Service makes any restuarant and all it takes is one or two poor members of staff.. won't be back!
Stopped off en route to Strabane. Had an absolutely delicious southern fried chicken wrap. It was served with a lovely side salad coleslaw, plus a small portion of tasty chunky fried. Really filling great value at £8.50 (approx €10.50).I had a goats cheese starter yesterday in Carlingford which was served with nothing cost €12.50
We went to salleys with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. What can I say the staff, food and services was amazing. Very generous portions of food and very reasonably priced. They also have delicious cocktails which we loved . Staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back here. Réservez une table maintenant
We called in to Salley's Restaurant when we were staying down the road at Ballygawley. It was a great earlybird meal. I had the chicken with onion, pepper sauce and fries. my wife had the rump steak and mash. Quick service and very nice. Would go again if in the area.
