Our first visit, we understand that it’s under new management from earlier this summer. Pre Christmas meet up with friends. Fabulous food and the current Christmas menu has plenty to suit all tastes and diets. I had the Full Christmas, as did one of our friends, with The Mariah, the Hemingway Holiday and a side of Tater Tots also chosen. The cafe is not overly big, perhaps eight tables for four and a couple of twos. The “upstairs” was brought into use for the overflow it was packed and tables refilled as they cleared. We visited this small but charming café as a family of three for lunch today while on vacation. We tried the carbonara tater tots, chicken baguette, and kids French toast, all of which were delicious. We also treated ourselves to a lemon meringue cupcake, which was exceptional. If you find yourself in the area, it's definitely worth a visit.
The best take on a sausage sandwich I’ve ever had! Have booked to go again tomorrow to try something new! Great service, lovely atmosphere and a cracking **** Mary. Wish we were here longer to sample some of the evening entertainments, especially the wine tasting! This place gives me something to look forward to when I’m up visiting family

I have been to Salt Of The Earth twice, once for breakfast and another time for afternoon burgers. On both occasions, the food was fantastic. The presentation of the dishes was outstanding, and the taste surpassed the visual appeal. I am excited to go back and explore more of the menu options. I highly recommend this restaurant.
So so lucky to have this place as a local option for amazing quality food and great service. Few years ago (before the current owners) things could feel a little hectic, but now they have got everything absolutely nailed. It’s truly brilliant food and worth every penny. Just go… you won’t be disappointed.
First time since it changed hands and it was absolutely brilliant. Menu was always amazing here, well now it’s next level. The old favourites still on there, but some really interesting and well thought through new dishes. Brilliant friendly service and really good value.
Absolutely fantastic! 3rd visit now! Food is top quality, menu is so different, but something for everyone! Amazing coffee and desserts, although I never have room as so filling! I book now as it’s always packed our! 10/10 for food.

I absolutely love going to Salt of the Earth. The food is always delicious, the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food, and the staff is extremely friendly. It's a rare gem.
