Saltgrass Steak House Metairie

We are regularly at Metairie-Saltgrasss for the last few years and have consistently a very good experience that made it our choice of steakhouse in the city. The staff is always very nice, they always make us welcome, but yesterday's experience was not good. We ordered and received a fillet with lots of fat in it for the first time ever. We have the problem with our waitress and then the manager and they were also surprised to see that much fat in a fillet, we were told that it could have been a mix with Sirloin. After 3 solid days in the French Quarter, we ate Steak and a restaurant that you could enjoy during dinner with your friends. The shrimps were far over boiled (they have removed the cost), steaks were okay (for the price I prefer a little better cooking season), potatoes were okay... after my eating mats the fried mushrooms were great (I don't enjoy a mushroom). The waitress was very sweet and although we were late dinner, no one tried to push us out of the door.

Food was excellent. Server was less than friendly. I like to feel welcome in a restaurant. Another wise 5-star rating was reduced to an involuntary server. I wanted to celebrate my husband's birthday, too.

we were a busy time on Thanksgiving Day. the service was smooth and the food delicious.
