I stumbled on this hidden gem while I was trying to find a place to eat on a road trip to Bar Harbor, Maine with my boyfriend?s family. Not only are the people who work here incredibly kind, but they have THE best lobster rolls I have ever had and I have had many. We drove into the lot at 3 PM but were unaware that they reduced their hours that very morning. Unfortunately we had 5 more hours left to drive in order to make a dinner reservation for my boyfriend?s birthday. Luckily we caught Jim as he was arriving with the team to set up for service at 4. Salty's Lobster Shack is on Route 114 in Middleton Mass, across from Richardson's Dairy. We went at 5pm on a Thursday evening. It wasn't very busy. I was looking forward to tasting Salty's lobster bisque and sitting by the fire pit and that was exactly what I did. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and I got my order in about 5 minutes. I asked them to light the fire and they were more than happy to do so. I also got fried haddock and fries. All three choices were great ones. A friend with family in Danvers took me here during a conference, and it was an amazing first lobster roll of my visit! The amount of lobster is generous compared to places we?ve tried in Boston. Meaty, hot, and fresh, and the standard wedge fries were good, too. Next time I want to try the lobster panini, but I had to start with the classic. The food truck park is pretty cute, with fun lobster chairs and butter tables around a fire pit. Lots of hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies at the picnic tables.

Excellent quality food, great picnic table vibe. Kids loved the games and the whole experience. I?ve been back several times it?s great every time. The lobster rolls are stuffed! It?s definitely a splurge , but for a treat, it?s well worth it.

Competitively one of the best lobster rollers I?ve ever had, and on a food truck at that! Also right across Richardson?s, this lot has other food trucks as well. If you?re looking for a bussin lobster roll, well sheeeeesh here ya go!
