Food: I had the Open Face Steak Sandwich, which consisted of lettuce, four small slices of cold steak on about a 4 in. piece of bread. Tomato and onion were placed on the side. It stated on the menu that it was also supposed to have Dijon mayo, but the sandwich I had did not. The sandwich was small, not very good, and was pricey. The wife ordered the Chicken Piccata, which she stated that she liked. I tried a bite and other than being bland, it was ok. Service: After we were seated, it was about ten minutes before the waitress took only our drink order, another eleven minutes for our drinks to arrive, and that’s when the waitress took our order. This is the fifth time my husband and I have had lunch here. The last time there was a strong smell of cleaning products, like Lestoil. This time the smell was even stronger, we could smell it even when we were eating lunch. I mentioned this to the waitress who said the floor had just been cleaned before they opened. It really put a damper on the atmosphere. It's hard to enjoy your lunch when the smell of Lestoil was overpowering. I've been previously happy with my lunches but unfortunately, not today. I would really like to give more stars. I went with my parents for lunch today and the 'host ', that greated us was rude uninviting and unfriendly.We had a baby with us who was incredibly well behaved, although he didn 't offer a high chair. Our waitress was very nice, so was the food although incredibly pricey 36 dollars for crabcakes is a lot. My Dad asked the said host for a pen to sign the check and was very much received like service with a sneer. Might want to switch around the staff to make this a nicer experience. Thank you to our waitress who seemed sweet and the chef who 's food was very good.
We stopped in for lunch while exploring the local antique stores one Saturday afternoon. The restaurant has a darker, pub style though still elegant ambiance. Outdoor seating is available, though it was too hot to eat outdoors on the day we visited. I had the Scallop Pasta and my date had the Hickory Burger. Our only complaint was the burger was ordered medium and was served well done. Otherwise, every thing was delicious and the service was prompt and friendly. Réservez une table maintenant
Kari gave us such a personal experience. It felt like we were her only table in a very busy restaurant. I cannot express how impressed I was by her. Best service I've ever received, anywhere. As for the meal, the steaks were perfect. I ordered a rare filet mignon and I got the most tender, melt in your mouth, seasoned filet. Absolutely butter in my mouth. We ate here for the first time and enjoyed it! We decided to try the lunch menu before we come back for dinner another time. Inside atmosphere was very nice, plus comfortable. Service was also great! I had the cheeseburger plate, while wife had fish and chips. Wife's fish was so good, I was jealous! look forward to visiting again!
To top it off, when we were leaving, my 73-year-old sister didn’t notice the step right outside our booth and fell. Shockingly, no one bothered to say anything. I’m generally not one to complain, but given that our bill came to $108.00, I expected much better. I only gave one star because the waitress was friendly.
The restaurant offers a contemporary American menu featuring salads, sandwiches, and seafood. The seating is comfortable, and the wait staff is prompt and attentive.
