The main courses were also underwhelming. The rack of lamb was tough and overpriced, with an excessive amount of bread crumbs taking away from the flavor. My wife's salmon was the only highlight of the meal. When my lamb was returned and replaced with chicken marsala, the chicken was rubbery and overly lemony. I returned the dish and requested the check, only to find that I was being charged for the inedible chicken. As someone with experience in cooking and a passion for quality food, I was thoroughly disappointed by the lackluster dishes and haphazard presentation. I will not be returning to this restaurant, as it did not live up to its promise of providing a taste of Italy.
Steve, the owner, is a wonderful person who always greets you warmly. Every time my wife and I, or my family, visit this place, we have a fantastic experience. We frequently order takeout as well. My go-to dishes are the veal chop and Bronzino. We have been loyal patrons for years, as we were fed up with the poor treatment we received at Osteria despite spending a lot of money there. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. They also have excellent vegetarian options and are very accommodating to families with kids.

This review is long overdue! I had my nieces bridal shower here in June 2023. Everything was perfect! The food, atmosphere, cocktails and staff were superb! Compliments from our guests confirmed my feelings...I wouldn't hesitate to host another event at Sam Vera's. This was my first time dining at this restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was fantastic, and they had a great variety of wines to choose from. I would definitely return, but I would avoid going on a Saturday night. The place was packed, and they were overwhelmed with customers, resulting in a long wait for our main course and slow service.
Quiet place.. very romantic. Food was delicious. Don't forget to get the appetizers, fried calamari was amazing, delicious sauce, food was also amazing. Parking not a issue at all, on premises.
