visited the boozer as new owner Max Halley the sandwich man calls it! added bonus was that he was in bath that day, however sadly we did not see him! The pub has undergone a fabulous makeover and can not wait for Max to introduce proper old fashioned bar snacks scotch eggs pork pies etc) My husband is a big fan of Sunday Brunch, Max and his wine loving dad !! maybe next time we will be lucky enough to meet him!!! Most importantly Your lovely bar lady is very knowledgeable and amazing ...thank you for my water bone ...with pugs and kisses to her from Ronnie the Pug!!!!
I am a huge fan of this pub and I never miss a visit when I am in Bath. I was disappointed to see that the old menu of traditional pub food is no longer available, but I was also sad that I missed out on trying the Parmo during this visit! The staff are very friendly and it is a great spot to enjoy a pint. By the way, just to clarify, this place is not closed at the moment despite what TripAdvisor may suggest!
this place is the best for eating. the owner has Italian roots, so they have good taste and that works well. good pastas and proper burger. good appetizers (I had their salt and puffy, white baits and garnelen . nice selection of Cask-Ales. the way to the toilet is a-maze-ing :
What a wonderful and inviting pub! We believe it has new owners who are doing an excellent job. The bar staff were very attentive and even replaced a drink we accidentally spilt for free. We had a great time here after exploring the Christmas market for a few hours.

a beautiful place at a beautiful corner of bath by a friendly team who chat as they serve. they get definitiv what they pay, with generous portions on each dish and a really pleasant atmosphere. also so friendly to a happy dog who enjoyed a little attention!
I've been drinking in there for years, and I've had the road down and would go in after work. great pub duve and a decent selection of drinks. same couple has led it to my knowledge for years. I wish I was in there to be honest.
This is a very nice place to visit, right in the action. Its a cosy and relaxing place to sit, with a very traditional feel and nice old dark wood decor. Excellent range of drinks beer well kept.
This small pub is great! The bartender was very friendly, played the music we requested, and chatted with us. One of the regular customers was also very friendly.

Particularly chose this Pub to sample some food . Very disappointed no food being served . Pricey Gin Tonic £9.50 didn’t ask for a large gin
Really nice and friendly, clean toilets and very good pub quiz. Will certainly return when next in the city.
