We've been eating at this restaurant for years during our annual trip to Neumarkt and it's dependably good. We've only ever eating inside once (for a family wedding) because we are generally there during summer and the outside biergarten is one of the best parts. It is near to the Wolfstein (castle ruins) so you look out on a beautiful meadow and the town of Neumarkt below. If you are there with children there is a small play area suitable for the toddler and young child crowd. The food is generally very good as is the service. They have most German "staples" and they prepare them well. Last time we were there we met the chef himself and he was very friendly and approachable.
I often visit the area for work and from time to time we head up into the hills to eat here. I am always delighted whenever we do as this is in my opinion the best restaurant in the area.The feel here is modern but classic Bavarian, the food and service are always excellent. If you go in the summer try to sit outside and take in the incredible view. If you go in the winter, try to sit outside by the log fire and take some gluhwein.I always look forward to a trip here and you should try and visit it too a genuinely excellent place to spend an evening.
i lived near this hotel and the service food and the owners are 1st class.if you visit neumarkt give this 1 a try you wont be dissapointed.the rooms are clean,comfortable and was really made to feel at home.i ended up making this my local as the beer is fresh and the staff are so helpful even though my german is not brilliant.They made me feel welcome and could not do enough for me every time i visited this hotel/restaurant. i never had a bad meal and the staff are absolutely fabulous
The menu fully details the origin of all ingredients and is home made.Still you don't have to wait long before you can enjoy regional food in a cosy, relaxed atmosphere with a great view (during day time) overlooking the valley.We also stayed there for a some days and got served a solid, again high quality, breakfast.Great family style place when you are visiting the region or are in Neumarkt on business.

what a nice guest house in a cute village! there were seven of us in my party (I, my elder, my brother and brother, and her children). only mine.
Have been there for two weddings recently. Nice location and very good food. Service is good as well. Highly recommended is the "biergarden"
super original support by josef. only the only euro for extra sauce for the drunk has disturbed the whole good environment and eat
great food, personal super friendly. the panoramic view of the new market is gigantic and breathtaking in the night!
