I've been passing by this restaurant for a long time without stopping in, but today I finally did, and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the grilled tilapia platter, and it was absolutely fantastic—cooked to perfection with wonderful spices and topped with grilled onions. The sides, which were green beans and coleslaw, were decent but not as impressive as the fish. They were perfectly edible, just not at the same level as the main dish. Overall, I rate this place 4 stars. The restaurant was clean, and the restroom was well-maintained. If you haven't tried this restaurant yet, you definitely should!
The waitress/hostess was incredibly pleasant, which made for an interesting visit. However, I believe in the saying, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." While the service was great, unfortunately, the rest of the experience did not live up to expectations. Trust your instincts from the moment you arrive. After over two hours, we ended up heading to McDonald's for a meal instead.
The fried catfish filets are absolutely delicious! The fried okra is very tasty, and the fried green tomatoes are also good. However, I'm not a fan of the onion rings. The coleslaw is mayo-based and quite tasty as well. The fried chicken livers are outstanding! The jumbo fried shrimp truly live up to their name. Unfortunately, the ambiance leaves something to be desired.
Delicious homestyle cuisine offered at reasonable prices with generous portions. Our server was on his first day, and he performed exceptionally well—very attentive and courteous. Overall, this was a fantastic first experience at Sam's, and I can’t wait to return for more!

They were open on Christmas Day, and we decided to have dinner there. It was fantastic! The customer service was some of the best we've ever experienced at a restaurant. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous! We will definitely be returning!
