Sam's Southern Eatery

If you're craving Cajun cuisine in Oklahoma, there's a fantastic spot where you can indulge in perfectly cooked catfish. I've visited Louisiana many times and have sampled gumbo from various places, but the gumbo here at Backwoods was just as delicious. The staff was very friendly, the service was quick, and the prices were budget-friendly. I'll definitely be returning every opportunity I have. Overall rating for the food: 5/5.

Do not eat here! There are maggots in the beans and rice, they smoke while cooking food for the public, roaches crawling all over the ice in the back. You are not supporting a small business in Ardmore, you are supporting the owners home country. Health department has already made several trips to this place. The only good thing about the whole place are the servers. Period.

Restaurant was not clean there was urine in the bathroom floor and it looked like it had not been cleaned in a month. The restaurant was understaffed with 1 waitress that also answered the phone and worked the register. (She looked exhausted) The food was just ok and the prices were high for what we got. Will not go back wish I would have taken photos to add.

Food was ok but cleanliness is not at the top of their priorities. Went to wash my hands and the bathroom was a mess, urine was all over the floor. There was only one waitress and she was also working the register and answering the phone (she clearly needed help) will not be going back.Food: 3/5 Réservez une table maintenant

This is the third time we've been there and we have been told they are not serving. There's always an issue or the employees just don't want to cook or wait on tables. We even called. We will never come back.Food: 1/5

The restaurant may not have a great exterior, but the food and service were fantastic! The standout dish was the fried jumbo shrimp. I would rate the food 5 out of 5.

This is the best grilled fish and shrimp I have ever tasted. I highly recommend it. Food quality is top-notch, 5 out of 5 stars. Réservez une table maintenant
