Samuel Beckett's Irish Gastro Pub

On a Tuesday night, we visited this restaurant in Shirlington. There was street parking available. There was no one at the hostess stand, and there was no indication as to whether we should seat ourselves. Eventually, a server arrived and seated us with menus. It took about 10 minutes before she returned with water, and another 5 minutes before she took our order. I have been trying a few Irish pubs in DMV area because I love Shepherd's pie. I find this place to have one of the best at that. The pub itself has a very nice atmosphere like a proper Irish pub. My friends who came with me also believe their food is pretty good. If you're on DC or MD side, the location is pretty out there but I would say it's worth a trip. Overall, this is a very nice place just to hang out with great food and friends.

I ordered the Salmon with Jasmine Rice and shaved Brussels sprouts and it was fantastic. I will definitely be coming back to eat here again! They also have my favorite beer, Old Bust Head Vixen! Réservez une table maintenant

The Shepherds Pie lacked any flavor and was very bland. The staff appeared to be overwhelmed and could benefit from additional support.
