San Anselmo Gelato

We asked for a sample as the gelato looked a little questionable to us..... This place does NOT give samples. To little kids.But the excuse? Covid. Yep, in 2023. That is seriously what the rude person behind the counter said. And no refunds if my daughter didn't like the flavor. Totally inauthentic cheapskates like that do not get my business. So we bailed and hit Swirl down the street. And yes that place does samples, because...well of course they do.

A classic Gelato with and enormous reputation with the locals. Over 40 flavours, some ingenious, which you can tatse before you commit. I went fpr the cone with two flavours, and walked across the raod to the tiny Imagination Park, a jewel of a park for Indiana Jones and Star Wars fans, as George Lucas lives near by. Why? Well, you'll have to go and see for yourself :

Delicious ice cream and fairly priced big scoops! Kids loved it. No line up. Paid with visa by tap. Owner was patient and polite to me. I would go back. Not sure about the other reviewers giving this guy one star, definitely not a single star establishment. Yummy!

My friend cut her finger and was bleeding from her chain on a bike ride. We were right outside. We went in to ask if we could borrow a napkin. The person behind the counter told us only if we bought something. We will never return. What is the world coming to.

Voicemail and online says they should be open at 2pm but I’m here on a Monday and they’re closed
