We had booked a table for 4 at San Pietro tonight for 6.30pm. As we walked in they had given our table to some regulars. They asked us to wait outside in the cold with two children. I asked how long, and was told it would be half an hour. We said we would come back if our table would be ready. When we came back they looked surprised and tried to make a makeshift table for 4 right by the front door in front of the bar. This table was clearly not suitable with the main door opening right upon our ‘makeshift’ set up. When I asked what had happened to our table, the waiter mumbled something inaudible. For starters, we indulged in Garlic Prawns and Calamari. My wife loved her Pina Colada, while I enjoyed a delicious bottle of Valpolicella from their wine collection. The Chef even provided two pieces of bread to enjoy with the prawns sauce, a nice touch. Our mains of Chicken and Fillet Steak were cooked to perfection, with the Blue Cheese sauce adding a delicious twist. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, and even the fries, which I typically wouldn't choose, impressed me with their French-like quality.

We had a table booked for 17/4/2024 as we were up in Windermere for our mini-moon and also my new wife Nicola's birthday. We really liked the look and feel of the place as soon as we walked in. The staff were really nice, we never got the name of the lad who who looked after us but he did a great job. The food was outstanding, for starters we had garlic prawns and Parmesan balls, both were absolutely delicious. Main courses were 2 x fillet steaks, cooked perfect. Finally desert was limoncello cheesecake. San Pietro is definitely one of the best Itlaian restaurants we ever been to, we'll definitely call again next time we're in Windermere.
My husband and I dined at San Pietro for the first time last night and it was fantastic. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The restaurant has a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The food was delicious! We started with garlic prawns and arancini, for main courses we had fillet steak and carbonara, and for dessert we shared a tiramisu. We also enjoyed cocktails (I highly recommend the Bramble-ish for Bramble lovers), beer, espresso, and dessert wine- all of which were excellent. The prices are very reasonable and we will definitely be returning to dine here again when we come back to Windermere.

We had dinner at San Pietro restaurant yesterday evening and had a wonderful experience. Everything from the starters through to the deserts tasted amazing.Food was absolutely amazing. Went for a special birthday meal and it did not disappoint. Both me and my girlfriend were thrilled with the meal. The food was put together in a way where the flavours complimented each other perfectly. Fully recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for fine dinning at its best. The service was polite and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. While the food wasn't cheap but worth every penny.
Absolutely love it here. Booked for 2 nights- made the bookings 3 weeks before we were visiting Windermere to be sure we got them. Both nights were amazing. The welcome and service is outstanding.This is easily the best restaurant in the area, and prices reasonable too. The service was professional and well rounded. You rarely find an Italian restaurant that hit the spot so well for the price paid. A proper gem in Windermere. Thank you for the lovely times we had there. Will most definitely be back next time we are in the area.
This is an excellent restaurant for authentic Italian cuisine. The staff and owners are very welcoming and attentive. I highly recommend this place, it is definitely worth a visit. The food is exceptional, showcasing the care and passion put into each dish. The atmosphere is great, especially when enjoying their garlic prawn seafood pasta and carbonara. The wine selection is fantastic, as well as the delicious desserts and coffee. The prices are very reasonable, making it a great value.
Absolutely amazing! Should be a Michelin star restaurant. Food amazing and cosy atmosphere. Food was eqistic just astonishing, very tasteful and well presented. Quality establishment. The staff were very nice and friendly. You have to book a place way in advance as it is always booked due to popularity. It is somewhat expensive but so worth it. Good value for money. we had an amazing time.

Cannot recommend this place enough! We booked a table for our one year anniversary whilst in Windermere and it’s one of the best food we have eaten! It was utterly delicious especially seabass fillet and the Cumbrian beef. We cannot wait to book this place again the next time we’re in the lakes. It’s dog friendly too, which is such a bonus.
Pleasant ambience and rather good food. A bit over-priced in my humble opinion... I was a bit annoyed at the many signs throughout the restaurant that felt a bit patronising.
