As a mother of a young man with Autism/Epilepsy I’m always mindful of where we take our son...at times he can be noisy because he’s happy and excited, and at times he can be noisy because he’s impatient in waiting for his chips ... I want to take my son out and I want him to enjoy the perfect beach view that the SandBar Beach Cafe offers, but I don’t want to disturb others who have come to enjoy their meals so I fine tune my timing and arrive at this lovely place when my son is not too hungry and happy to sit and wait with us. The owner of this fine restaurant is such a lovely man... he acknowledges our son where others forget, and treats us with kindness and respect ... our order always comes on time and the staff are helpful and friendly. When special needs are thrown into the mix of life it’s complicated , so it’s nice to know that we can go to a place together as a family ... where we can relax and enjoy with ease and enjoy a fine meal .
