OMG the smothered chicken plate only availabke on Thurs Sats. What's not to like huge butterflyed battered fried breast on a bed of fresh mashed potaoes withe the occassional lumps GRAVY my case xtra xtra GRAVY. Their 1/2 fried chicken dinner with cirn bread comes in 2nd fir me. For the crowd I go with fried chicken surpasses any other in the Illinois Valley are

Oh my goodness, this restaurant is such a wonderful place. The staff is extremely friendly and the menu features classic American dishes. Despite being open for 9 years, it has a nostalgic Americana vibe that shouldn't be missed.

Excellent food and very reasonable prices. Very nice atmosphere and friendly people. Great stop a little ways off the beaten path, definitely recommend stopping in if you are traveling I80, great way to break up your trip.

My wife and I dined on fried chicken 2/23/2020. Simply amazing! The portions are hugh for the price. Would highly recommend to anyone even close to Ottawa to stop in and check it out.

Cozy bar and grill! The cod fish basket along with fries and cole slaw were the best!! Hope to return soon.
