Instagram @chopstixinthesix Follow Us!!We got our go-to Tonkotsu, Zangi and their new menu item Tonkotsu+. When we saw the word “truffle oil”, we knew we had to try it. It came with Smoked Pork Pastrami, Meatballs, Chashu, Daikon, Shiitake, Scallions and Truffle Oil. The truffle oil worked surprisingly well with the ramen, and it is the fancy version of Tonkotsu with more toppings. Tonkotsu was the exact flavours we were craving for!! Love the fact that you can go with LESS SALT for their soup, because even with less salt, it is still very rich in flavour. Zangi was tender and perfectly seasoned, but only wished the chicken was a bit more bite-sized!
This restaurant serves amazing ramen that is consistently delicious. The well-balanced broth sets it apart from other competitors in the area, and the menu offers a variety of different combinations of broth and ingredients. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with a minimalist and sophisticated look. However, they are sometimes understaffed, which can make it difficult to get the attention of the servers. Overall, the food receives a rating of 5, the service a 3, and the atmosphere a 4. Recommended dishes include the Ramen Tonkotsu Black, Gyoza Pork Dumplings, and Tonkotsu Black. The average price per person for a meal is between CA$20–30.
Ordered through Uber Eats the Tonkotsu Ramen that had 2pc chashu, green onion, egg and black fungus (what i refer to black mushroom) Noodles and requests were perfect. Tasty broth, and noodles were packed separately so they were enjoyed exactly as I prefer. Also ordered a corn croquette (it was okay) 2 pcs of mango cheesecake, 2 pcs of Yuzu cheesecake, and 2 bottles of Ramune. The cheesecake slices are on the smaller side than expected and simple as there is no sauces or fresh fruit on top however, I did not mind this for the special price I paid (BOGO). Takeout was delicious so I am willing to try in restaurant. Service: Take out
Noodles were delicious. I think its on par with other ramen franchises but I wish they had more spicy options. They only have 1- which we ordered spicy tantan noodles.
