Sapporo serves good quality sushi, generous hand cut sashimi and overall provides value. Compared to most AYCE sushi restaurants Sapporo offer is a cut above. Their al a carte menu is fairly priced but the real value is in their combination dinner, my wife and I opted for the “lovers” special two for $65. The combo includes miso soup, udon soup, tempura and a selection platter of sushi and shashimi. Compared to the typical AYCE restaurants the quality of the thick cut shasmini was excellent as was the quality of sushi. I moved to the Ottawa area just over 2 years ago and was looking for a sushi spot and this is it! I kissed a lot of frogs before I found the prince of sushi.In all honesty though, the quality and freshness of the fish here is as good as I 've had in North America.I wish I lived closer but still don 't mind making the 45min drive as I am never disappointed with my order. I 've tried a lot of the sushi, sashimi, and rolls on the menu but I keep going back to the dancing roll, yam tempura roll and the spicy salmon and spicy tuna rolls, which actually have some heat to them—so thank you for that. Most places that say 'spicy ' make a mockery of what actual spice is and typically just glob srirach...
Had dinner the other night at Sapporo Sushi, and it was really good! The sashimi was very fresh and they gave generous portions of sashimi as well, we were pretty full just from the sashimi dinner. The yellowtail and tuna were our favourites from the sashimi dinner. The uni was also so yummy and fresh, could tell that it’s good quality uni. We also ordered the assorted tempura and the ebi mayo, both good, but we liked the ebi mayo more as there was a lot of flavour with the wasabi mayo. We got the family platter and it was so good! The food came really quickly and was super fresh. The platter came with various sushi rolls as well as sashimi, miso soup, udon soup, shrimp tempura, and fish katsu! We also got beef bulgogi separately which was very good. Everything was delicious and flavourful: Definitely recommend and would go back here!Parking: Parking is in the back. You might miss it but there is a sign. This restaurant is fantastic. The interior ambiance is surprisingly wonderful considering the exterior. The service was top-notch. I had the chicken teriyaki for lunch and it was delicious. I didn't try the drink menu as I had to drive later on. Overall, a great place to dine! Kids will enjoy the variety of options available.
Love this place. Have dined in just a couple times, but gotten delivery numerous times. The nigiri here is the best, with an excellent fish to rice ratio. Rice is well-seasoned, not overcooked, and not smushed during preparation. Food is consistently delicious. Would highly recommend.
Very spacious and clean, consistently yummy food at reasonable prices. The servers were very friendly and responsive. The quiet environment makes it ideal for good conversations. The selection of food is sure to please even picky eaters! Lots of great dishes to choose from!
The food was delicious and the service was excellent once I understood how to use the button at the table system. I wasn't a fan of the enclosed seating, it felt a bit confining. I look forward to when all COVID-19 measures are lifted permanently. Réservez une table maintenant
