SCRRRR......scrrrrrr..........scrrrrrrr..... Do you hear that? That 's me unknowingly going against the grain. I was told by two of my fellow yelpers who have never let me down to 'Go to Sartin 's! . I was so excited that I got the time that I even forgot my wallet where I stayed at, no worries, I got it as well as another friend and came back. (Note, they don 't trust people to eat, come back and pay even if you leave an important document like a TWIC card but I get it, it 's a business . The outside will render you wondering if you 've stepped into a hole in the wall with a jewel hidden inside and the parking (if you find a spot will tell you that you are lucky to get one. Let 's not judge...

Sartin 's motto is we 've got the crabs . That would be a horrible motto for an individual, but for a seafood restaurant, it works. I 'm not sure if they invented the concept of BBQ crabs, but they are definitely known for that dish. What are BBQ crabs you ask? They are nothing like New Orleans style BBQ shrimp which were handed down from the lord himself. They aren 't barbecued in the traditional way. They are fried. I have no idea where the name comes from, but people love them. I have only tasted the BBQ crabs and it wasn 't my thing. The people I was with must have eaten several bushels. They absolutely loved them. I got a fried shrimp platter which was pretty good. The shrimp were obvio...

Went to Sartin's for lunch yesterday and I was pretty darn good! We ordered the BBQ crab plate and it comes with decent coleslaw, 2 average hushpuppies, fantastic fries and 3 number 2 crabs. The crabs were out of this world! Sweet meat with that fantastic seasoning! I only wish they were bigger but we were still stuffed when we left, wife even had leftovers. I thought it was funny when we placed our order our server asked if we wanted the coleslaw and I asked or what is there something wrong with it? She said I could choose salad because a lot of times if she doesn't ask the people don't eat it and she didn't want it going to waste. She was very attentive, sweet and kept everyone's drink fil...

Came in for lunch on New Year's Eve with a party of 8. Plenty of 4 tops that can be rearranged to accommodate different parties, so we were seated promptly. Menu has a lot of great seafood options (as you'd expect). Almost everyone ordered the seafood basket from the lunch menu, but I went with the fried fish PoBoy. It was amazing... Perfect level of crisp with the right balance of complimenting toppings. I wish I could have ordered an extra hoagie roll because it was delicious. Service was friendly, parking lot was spacious, and the prices were reasonable. Make sure you get the sweet tea! Réservez une table maintenant

I trusted Yelp again and am super glad I did. For you out of towners like me, it's the entrance between Sears and Dillard's. Casa Ole, I think. Regardless, I had the combo with crab, shrimp, and fried okra. The food came out quickly, fresh, and hot. The only thing missing was my crab mallet so I could dig all that sweet meat out of the hard claws. I was amazed at how sweet the crab meat was and even caught myself licking the seasoning off the shells. Everything was awesome, and I left full and happy.

Thank goodness for this location as it actually is the last of a dying breed: all other locations have closed (Webster and Beaumont). I just need to remain in my cousin's good graces so he can take me here and be patient with me and the clearly uncaring workers. Menu is pretty much the same and is simply. I am not sure that all seafood items are fresh, but like I said: it's slim pickings at this point as my fried crabs at home don't even come close. Heads up: platter services seems to be absent.

I heard this place was supposed to be THE place to go. Overall, pretty disappointed with my visit. I had the all-you-can-eat plate: the fried shrimp were tasty, everything else was just humdrum. Service was pretty unimpressive in my section, but I saw waitstaff really humping it elsewhere in the restaurant. I'm really not sure if I will revisit this place for a second chance.

Good food and service was good! Had the bbq crabs, (came with 3), fried shrimp, hush puppies, Caesar salad and macaroni and cheese all for about $22. Good deal! Seems as though they changed what comes with the all you can eat option, which no longer includes crabs. (I hadn't been in here in about 10-11 years) so go figure! But I would definitely return Réservez une table maintenant

Have not been here prior and in now for dinner test. Salmon request has been made with a baked potato. Water to drink. Cool setting here. All the food was real good. And I will return for more another day.
