"We had outstanding service from Paul discreet, but attentive, friendly and very professional. He had lots of time for us, did not make us feel rushed the food service was timed so we could linger over our appetizers before starting the main course....Our duck pate was delicious as was the halibut with the forbidden rice. The sundried tomato beurre blanc was a creative and tasty addition. We had a long leisurely lunch and would recommend Sassafraz for a special event."

Been disappointed this year by the lack of imagination from many restauants with their menus, eg mixed leaves, half a chicken, etc... easily made at home. Whereas Sassafraz chose dishes from their normal lunch menu to include in this years Summerlicious. Well done.Probably only save...about $5 on normal lunch price. Pate ok, seen it before in many restaurants, nice presentation, however no pickle in the berries. Good size portion. Gaspacho, little bit of heat. Very tasty. Burger, homemade good flavor, little over cooked for my taste. Salmon spot on, well cooked and great flavors. Chocolate dessert, more Ganache than cake, super rich. Cheesecake very light, smooth texture. Excellent Mojito. J...

we were a family of three to lunch. the restaurant was a cool harbour on a very hot day in toronto, the water function on the back really made it cool as we entered from the hot road. the water was very quickly brought to the table, followed by cocktails and beer. our common appetizers of bark tar and apple and cashew nut salad were fresh, tasty and enjoyed. my main course was a vegan baked aubergine, although I am not vegetarian. the aubergine was freshly cooked and a very sufficient main course. that was my wife's hugging as much as our daughter. we said the waitress that it was the 80th birthday of my wife, and before we left, she brought us a candle and 3 makkarons. a very nice meal in a...

From the moment I arrived, the excellent customer service was evident! The occasion was an annual birthday celebration for a girlfriend. The hostess was welcoming and friendly; the waiter, Emil, was outstanding and even the floor manager came out and answered some of our questions...in an extremely attentive manner. My friend and I loved our eggs Benedict, cooked to perfection with fresh roasted potatoes and beets and crisp salad. I ordered a slice of celebratory chocolate cake with a candle and it was beautifully served as a complimentary gesture. I can’t think of a finer Toronto restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, an establishment that I return to repeatedly for the exceptional exp...
