Good food, small portions, BIG price!. Honestly, when Sawadee first opened, my mother and I loved the place. The food was always good, portions were plentiful, and servers were polite. Lately, they have the responsibility for everything! They give you a small bowl of rice with spicy food and curry (which is enough for me, but not normally for my fiancée and any additional rice that she extra for. I notice that this is common in most Thai restaurants, but it seems that in the years, as if the fiancées of the Sawadee have become smaller and smaller, and their prices are higher and higher. This is my favorite Thai restaurant. The food is always delicious. The peanut dressing is the best I've ever tasted, and I usually drizzle it on with a spoon. My top pick is the pad thai with vegetables and tofu, while my friend is a big fan of the Panang Curry and Massaman Curry. The fresh spring rolls are also exceptional and incredibly tasty. The servers are both friendly and attentive. While the prices aren't the lowest, the portion sizes are reasonable (not the typical oversized American servings), providing enough food to satisfy your appetite. I can't recommend this place enough!

Great Thai. There are many Thai places around and many of them seem to be more into image and atmosphere than the food. This place is a tiny open room in a strip mall. If you didn't know about it you would miss it for sure. Service was fast from the moment we sat down. Prices were fair. The variety on the menu was great. This place is very authentic as far as the selection goes. I enjoyed everything I tried, as did my friend. We were in and out in less than a hour while taking our time. It was quite busy on a friday night. I would go back for sure. Highly recommend it.

Simply, The BEST!. This is a quaint little Thai restaurant near Buckland Hills that i have been to on several occasions at this point, and only is it the BEST thai that i have ever had (especially in CT), the service is also very nice, polite, and quick, with a quaint and modest atmosphere. The prices are all relatively good as well, but well worth the taste. I STRONGLY recommend the pineapple fried rice! Réservez une table maintenant

Thai me down, i cant handle the excitement!.. When trying Thai food, Pad Thai is usually a safety dish. Go for broke here and be adventuresome. Order up a Thai ice tea (just in case you cant handle the spice), and try something new. You will not be disappointed.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of Thai dishes, and they are happy to accommodate vegan requests. Just be sure to mention that you would like to avoid fish sauce and eggs.
