I went to this jewel of a restaurant directly on the main street, not for from the beautiful city center of appenzell. despite the proximity of the city 15 minutes to foot) I did not see any other tourist. the menu is limited, but eating is less expensive than in the city and is excellent. we visited a second time to experience the cakes and desserts. we sat under locals and enjoyed everything. this is a convenient and pleasant walk from the city center and will save some money and they will have a true Swiss experience. Go!
