Schleypen Cafe Inh. Hubertus Schmitz

We stopped in for a light lunch and picked the perfect spot. Quaint little cafe that the locals drop in to all the time. We had the house made 'kartoffelcremesuppe ' and it was excellent. A huge bowl with a bunch of toast for dipping. An interesting lemony taste to boot with little chucks of sausage. The 'Gulaschsupppe ' was okay. Flavourful broth but a bit thin. Small sized portion too. We didn 't have dessert but boy could you go wild. A mouth watering selection of tortes.

Nice coffee bar but excellent bakery! Self made cookies and printen are very tasty. Good idea for gifts.
