This restaurant is situated along side a river that flows through the Europa Park themepark. I can't tell you much about the building, but it looks like it predates the themepark itself. It is situated in a very quiet area of Europa Park, and is close to fountains and gardens.It's a very pleasant place to relax and eat. There is a stage where classical music was being played whilst we ate, which was very nice.My Wife and I chose the set Menu Baden, which started with a great salad, then it was crispy suckling pig, which sounded great, but it was a bit soggy to be honest, and not like the "pork crackling" we'd anticipated. the sunset bbq was booked at the beginning of the day in the europa park and thought it would be good to eat somewhere before we drive on our long trip to home. eating was really okay, but when we arrived, we became a sitting area away from the main department, next to the toilets. we felt like we were second citizens and suspect that we don't speak German. Staying 4 days/3 nights in Europa Park Hotel Santa Isabel, we discovered by miracle that Schloss Balthasar was a restaurant by going there ! It was going to close at 15:00 and we arrived at 14:55, by chance we were accepted and could eat very well, with a quick and efficient service. Prices are still ok, 55 euros for 2 adults and 2 kids, eating not too much but with such efficiency, it worths it totally.The place is beautiful, quite, peaceful, far away from the crowded others fast food restaurants, attractions and Europa Park generally speaking.We will definitively come back to this restaurant if we are going back one day to Europa Park.I will soon add some photos, for you to see how beautif...
This restaurant is the best way to avoid crowds in Europa park - without leaving the park itself. The interior is excellent, and sometimes they do have a live music (classical one, not intrusive at all!).As for a food, we'd like to recommend a winter salad (obviously in winter season:) ). The chef also knows how to prepare a steak! It's a bit pricy, but if you are looking for some calm and great food, Schloss Baltasar is an excellent option. Réservez une table maintenant
we decided to eat here after the lunch break after the rides in the Europa-Park. only the walk there was amazing with all the pumpkin decorations. the lunch itself was tasty, the service was also great, although a lil bit had to wait as it was. was laborious to the time. we sat outside with a great view of the park. Overall it is worth eating there, I would recommend
It is our 2nd day in Europa Park and it was raining ang cold when we decided to have a hot meal in this restaurant. The interior is rustic and cozy, the service staff are friendly and the food is really great. I recommend the dessert.The price is also reasonable for a sit-in meal.
