For my birthday, I was invited by my friends to the house Jungholz. And to celebrate this fair, we had the same taxi ride to the Berghotel Schlossangeralp in the evening. The complex is very wide and reminiscent of a small town high droben. Our taxi chauffes us to the entrance door and in the flowing rain we shower in the magically illuminated property. Even if I enter, the mixture of clean ornamentality, paired with low-calorie huts falls into my eye: wooden shed walls in the divided stubs, red curtains, forged steel lamps and bright wooden tables. Have been there on several occasions (as I live in Pfronten) and I have to say that the hotel/restuarant is pretty exceptional! The food is always delicious, albeit a little expensive, but well worth the dollar. There are always several courses and the wine is "ganz lecker" (very tasty)! After eating there is a sort of sitting area near the fire where the whole group (or even just a couple) can sit and enjoy another glass of wine, champagne, or schnapps. If any of you are in Pfronten, I totally recommend this place. Breakfasts are good too. Had a weekend stay at the Inn and we had several meals here.Mix of traditional foods with a modern twist. Chef had amazing offerings. My group tried a little bit of everything in the menu and each dish was excellent.Wait staff were excellent, attentive but not obtrusive. Wine selection was good and we found a favorite we enjoyed very much.The restaurant is very nice, confortable and inviting. Like eating at home with a world class kitchen.
We had lunch at Schlossangeralp and really enjoyed our stay. We were warmly welcomed and looked after by the staff.The food and wines were delicious. The atmosphere is great, the ambiance rustic Bavarian but yet elegant.I can definitely recommend this restaurant for both in-house guests and those who just want to enjoy a great meal.

Unbelievable nice and caring hosts. She cooks fantastic, enjoying the guests every day and Mr. Ebert is full of ideas and has a great knowledge about wines and loves to share them
