Schlossbräu Mondsee

we arrived about 20-30 mins after our planned reservation; the staff called us and informed us they would hold our table for us as long as we needed; very helpful! we were seated out in the courtyard area with excellent views of the famous Basilica... the food was excellent, and the waitress was very accommodating to our needs, as some of us wanted soups as main courses. excellent food, very tasty and all around great atmosphere!!! highly recommended.

We chose to drop in for a drink (Steigl) in the beer cellar of this huge schloss, now a large hotel and event venue and converted from the old Abbey monastery. Perusing the menu we decided to eat there and didn't regret it. We enjoyed slices of ox with roast vegetables and gravy, and schnitzel and chips! And that was after a large pretzel each. Very good, recommended.

Good selection of meals including some traditional austrian meals. Service is fantastic with information provided about each meal and efficient service. Our waiter Peter spoke English perfectly and was able to make good recommendations.

Schlossbrau has traditional Austrian food on the menu and has never dissapointed. The service is friendly, the portions are good and reasonably priced and the atmosphere is great. Good for lunch or dinner, mix of locals and tourists.

Great service and excellent food. Fresh bread and portions big enough for teenagers. Friendly good waiters.
