Schlosshotel Kronberg

Wir sind Kronberger seit über 50 Jahren und sehr oft Gäste ,ob zu Feiern , Empfängen, ja sogar früheren Bällen ,im Schlosshotel Kronberg gewesen. Wir haben die Wechsel der Hotel Direktoren samt ihren neuen Konzepten miterlebt. Leider hat das Restaurant kein 3 Gang Mittagsmenü mehr, nur noch à la Carte . Ist übertrieben teuer geworden, denn zu den hochpreisigen Hauptgerichten werden keine Beilagen gereicht! Diese , ob Gemüse oder Kartoffeln, muss man extra noch dazu bestellen, die leider auch sehr teuer in der Karte angeboten werden. Das Essen war hervorragend ! Hauptgericht Dorade und Tomhawk Premium Pork) Der erste wirklich warme Tag und wir wollten das Dessert und den Kaffee auf der Terras...

The review does not refer to the actual restaurant, but to the possibility to make a picnic on Sunday in the area of the castle. A picnic basket then costs 88 € for two persons. To make it short. The ambience is really very beautiful. That's all you can say about positives. The picnic basket contains two rolls, two lubricated breads, two potatoes a small amount of sauce, six frying balls, 2 potatoes and some dessert. In addition, there is a bottle of champagne and a bottle of water per person. When you read this, it sounds much better than it is in reality. We had the feeling of having an absolute cheap breakfast. Conclusion: never again!

We stayed at Schlosshotel Kronberg for Easter brunch. Unfortunately we had to find that it was not worth the 89 €. It was all very decorative, but the taste was disappointing. The fish was just a trout, while the duck was rough, but also a bit dry. Saturation supplements in cream sauce soaked and almost only vegetables. Worse was the shrimp cocktail, where were the shrimps? It was rewarded only for the wine drinkers, which was included in the price. Service was excellent.

In addition to an excellent kitchen, we had great distances between the tables. That was absolutely the case. Very good kitchen without long waiting. Careful and competent service. The bar seemed to be renovated, but smoking is no longer possible there. It's just going over in front of the entrance. Okay, it's acceptable. Prices are not lifted. From my point of view therefore absolutely recommended.

The restaurant has an exquisite castle ambience, with very courtesy and courteous staff. The food has also been excellent. For me, the restaurant in the Rhine-Main area is the best address for beautiful and fine dining. I'll be back soon.

Eclectic lunch. Spaghetti and Schnitzel on the map remember a farm inn. The beautiful ambience and the map simply do not fit together. The waiter had a dirty jacket, but not in service.

The terrace out there is a dream. The cake and tea is also excellent! I definitely come back. Super beautiful atmosphere and the hotel is really a dream from inside and outside
