My husband and I are here recently. A beautiful small courtyard on a summer evening, the perfect environment. We were the only non-German speakers there and fought with the decryption of the menu that was only in German. The salad starter and our main courses were...fine (not exactly what we had imagined, as Google translation is not perfect. But then it was badly downhill. Our waiter ignored us over half an hour and at the end I had to ask the other waitress on the dessert menu. Even then it took a while before our simple ice cream order was taken. Unfortunately, after a further 25 minutes without a sign of our dessert we decided to go. There was no real excuse except to say they were busy!...
It's a shame this hasn't been reviewed for few years! We had a lovely meal at the restaurant- we were initially put off by the fact the outside was so close to the road, but actually, this wasn't the case, and we could sit without the passing traffic being an issue. (The inside is lovely, and very traditional- it was just very hot weather when we were there). For such a pork based country, the fish and vegetation options were fantastic and there were lots of vegetables and healthy food to be had, on top of the traditional hog fare! Friendly waiters, delightful local wines (and a vast selection)- a must go.
Too bad that hasn't been reviewed for a few years! We had a nice meal in the restaurant that we were initially set off from the fact that the outside was so close to the street, but actually it wasn't the case, and we could have a problem without... passing traffic. (The interior is beautiful, and very traditional it was only very hot weather when we were there). For such a pigland the fish and vegetation options were fantastic and there were many vegetables and healthy food to have on the traditional pig rate! Friendly waiters, wonderful local wines (and a wide selection) a must go.
We went there for my dad's 80th birthday party. We had made reservations, which had gotten lost when we arrived. They put us in one of the adjacent rooms. The room was clean - but we felt like we were on the "back burner" as far as service was concerned. We waited over one hour for our food. I hate to say - it was not worth the wait. The food was good, but nothing outstanding. Prices are ok - staff is very friendly but slow and poorly organized. A bit disappointing experience.
We're for the 80s. My father's birthday party. We had made reservations that were lost when we arrived. They brought us in one of the adjacent rooms. The room was clean, but we felt we were on the back burner as to the service. We waited for our food for over an hour. I hate to say it wasn't worth waiting. The food was good, but nothing excellent. Prices are ok Staff is very friendly but slow and badly organized. A little disappointing experience.
