At 8:20 pm I order two of the “Pick 2.” I was told they’d already pulled the soup so did I want them to warm it. Why do you pull the soup 40 minutes before you close. The cashier was very nice about it, so I said no, I’d warm it myself at the hotel.I tipped when I paid… not something I usually do for fast food but she was so nice.I return to our hotel. I haven't seen a Schlotzsky's since Texas, so I was excited to come across one while traveling. However, my experience at the restaurant was a bit disappointing. When I arrived at the travel center, it took a few moments to find the service counter and no one was there to assist me right away. Eventually, a pleasant young man named Tabbie took my order. As I waited for my food, I noticed the employees staying behind a closed door, out of sight from customers. The food is decent, but the staff are quite rude and seem frustrated if they have to walk a few steps to get chips. Instead of bringing the food directly to the tables, they just call out names, which can be quite disruptive while you’re trying to enjoy your meal. The more slowly you respond, the louder and more irritated they become when yelling your name. Additionally, the au jus was more like a jello-like substance filled with mushrooms and onions rather than a proper dip for the sandwich. It was pretty unappetizing, and I ended up throwing away my meal after just a couple of bites.
I live in central indiana. We used to have Schlotsky’s here but they closed up shop and moved out, much to my disappointment. Anytime I travel to locations with a store, I absolutely drop by and get the cheese original, just as I used to get while living in Texas, 40+ years ago. Vegetarian options: I am a vegetarian, and just simply ask for the cheese original as I used to get years ago.

Seriously the most disgusting food I’ve ever had, turkey meat is like eating rubber, the most fake meat I’ve ever had, bread taste like gluten free I ordered sour dough. And they couldn’t even keep the soda bib changed ended up with soda water instead of sprite, not with going all the way back for a soda Will never eat this food again ?
Mrs Patty is the most beautiful person ever! She always ensures that my order is made right and she always brightens my day! She is so sweet and has great customer service! There are a few others they have fantastic customer service, I just don't have their names! Great service eating!
You ring the bell and wait for someone to come help you. The woman was rude. Took the order. We then waited for 20 minutes for 2 sandwiches. When she brought it out she yelled the name and threw the bag on the counter and walked back through the door. The sandwiches were not even hot.
That was the poorest excuse for roast beef I have ever tried to eat, I ate a quarter of that $16 sandwich and could not eat anymore, dumped it into the trash and hit the road, Sad!

This is the worst sandwich I've ever tasted. The young children working here should be sent home to play on their Play Stations instead.
I love their sandwiches. They are very quick and friendly.
