I just wrapped up another stop on the South Carolina BBQ trail, and this time I experienced authentic Eastern Carolina BBQ for the first time. It was incredible! The pulled pork had a fantastic vinegar flavor, enhanced by red pepper flakes. The "hot gravy" was delicious, especially over pork rinds and the pulled pork. I found the liver hash to be quite unique. I’m accustomed to the hash served down in the Lowcountry, so this version was a refreshing change. I enjoyed it, though. In today's world of financial transactions, who would expect an all-you-can-eat buffet to only accept cash? It's manageable for a couple, but when a family of five arrives, it can be challenging unless you have $100 in cash on hand. The food was mediocre at best, and the staff's attitudes reflected that. They could certainly learn a thing or two about customer service and food preparation from Chick-fil-A. I wouldn’t recommend dining here.
Visited with friends while we were in Darlington and this was hands down the best BBQ, the greens were the best I’ve ever had! Amazing southern hospitality! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetables to choose from! Parking: Plenty! Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
"This is a lovely place to dine with great food and a very clean environment. The atmosphere is wonderful, and I would love to see more restaurants like this, perhaps a steakhouse. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 4 out of 5."
