It can be easily recommended, the location is beautiful. Especially on a cold winter night, They have a fireplace with a nice sofa. There is a playroom for kids, and outside the seating under trees. The food is good, it even has several vegetarian obtains. And the service is friendly. Prices are not higher than Zürich normally is. It offers a lot of parking spots if you come by car. Public transportation is a bit more time-consuming as it is at the end of the city. Considering going there after a nice walk in the nearby forest seems perfect.
Very, very nice experience. Food was really great and the service was excellent. The falafel with the mint yoghurt was very yummy, the black tiger prawns, wow , the cordon bleu was sumptuous and the veal liver was amazing. The tatar too was great. Being summer, we reserved a table for 9 outside and the 2 little ones could enjoy the play area while the there was lots of space for the baby in the pram. We read some of the reviews before going and given our great experience, we must conclude that the negative reviews are likely justified.
Nice location but don't expect more than average food - the staff was friendly but really, really slow and not very professional - they did not take care of the guests instead preferred to have a chat with each other - I would not recommend it at all - there are a lot better places in Zurich - don't waste your time at this place!
It used to be the hang-out for the "target shooters" of Zurich and is still the center of attention during the "Knabenschiessen" the yearly shooting event where the boys and girls of Zurich compete. The restaurant itself is so so. Nothing much to write home about.

We went there for a lunch date. The service and dishes was very authentic. Price was reasonable. Do yourself a favour and go there on a day with clear sight. The view over Sihl valley to the mountains are breathtaking.
We went only for a cup of coffee before the concert next door. However, we will come back in the summer where we can sit outside. The view over Zürich and Zürichersee is fantastic, breathtaking actually.
Dinner for two, friendly and attentive service. Tatar ordered spicy, was without any taste. Fish was swimming in oil. Definitively a kitchen issue. Prices are , not
Country brunch. Previously on mirrors. Today on plywood (grandmother's closet). A pity.
