Schuhbecks in den Südtiroler Stuben

We spent a very nice evening on a birthday dinner with 5 courses in the South Tyrolean Stuben. The service was very polite, friendly and accommodating, but not intrusive from reception to adoption. The 5 courses consisted of poultry, fish, meat, cheese and dessert, with different ways of compiling his menu. With greeting from the kitchen before and after eating it was almost too abundant, 3 or 4 courses would have been enough. The Ochsen filet did not ask for the preparation and was unfortunately not served medium rare but rare. It was still excellent and I'm sure I had another piece of meat on request. Dessert Variationen vom Kaiserschmarrn (or so similar) was tasty but too lush. Otherwise...

Menu: For 17 Gault Millau points the courts lack the finesse. One concentrates very strongly on the spice mixtures from the house, otherwise it is home cooking when I compare it with Scharff's Schlossweinstube, or Caminada's Schlauenstein, where we were only recently. Service: you did not really feel welcome and neglected. In a restaurant of this class, it must not be that the guest has to drink the wine himself. After the payment of the invoice, the guest (we can also note with others) will not even be released, as it is finally gone. Unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant. Maybe we had too high expectations.

The ambience of the restaurant is very pleasant not overloaded with decoration. That service is very attentive and the wine consulting excellent. The dishes meet what one expects from an excellent star chef for years. My Dry Aged bovine fillet with asparagus and Hollandaise was cooked to the point and tastefully a pleasure. The pasta dish with summer truffle was sensational. During my next visit to Munich again a culinary fixed point.

The food was really fantastic. We had ordered a 5 course menu. The procedure is in line with the many reports already available. The service was very good, but a tick too cool and associated with unpleasant long waiting times (5 courses about 3.5 hours). Also the ambience (next room) I personally did not find very cozy. In the price performance ratio you must consider the Celebrity factor. Réservez une table maintenant

The food was very good. The atmosphere very pleasant and the service phenomenal! Never experienced such a courtesy and unobtrusive service as in the South Tyrolean Stuben. As a highlight, Mr Schuhbeck personally served the main course. Only the price for a bottle of water I find at 9,90 € too expensive. As a dripping plaster you get delicious greetings from the kitchen.

We stayed in the South Tyrolean Stuben at the end of December. The food was qualitatively OK, however, the service was a total catastrophe... inattentive and a sommelier that is hardly to be surpassed in inflexibility. Unfortunately, we have to forgive a lack of price.

Eating was only warm. A bell would have been nice, as there were also quite long ways from the kitchen to the guest. Alternative to an intercourse was quickly found and was excellent. The kitchen greetings were brilliant. Thank you.

A visit to the South Tyrolean Stub'n is a lasting experience for all senses. Everything was unanimously the ambience, the intrusive, professional service, the perfect food and not least the visit of the boss personally. Réservez une table maintenant

I would recommend Mr Schuhbeck's restaurant again and again. Excellent kitchen, excellent service. We had our 39th anniversary this day and our table was not decorated accordingly.

Prices for food are top, but the prices for wine are very expensive in relation to food.
