Great location close to the S-Bahn and U connections. Also plenty of bike and car parking available. There is a great variety of beers on tap as well as in the bottle. Their food options include vegetarian dishes.For kids there is a great playground that let's kiddos have fun while the parents can relax.The only downside are the tons of flies and wasps that will swarm around you while you eat and the lack of music.It wouldn't be hard to place speakers throughout the garden to play some mood boosting music.We will definitely be back next summer season.
New ownership in 2017. Vastly higher quality food, great local wine selection and a (really, really good) selection of beers. Try the Filderkrautburger, a toasted bun, thick piles of barbecue pulled pork and cheese and a topping of the local cabbage. 'Sound weird? Try it. Other traditional, hearty foods and vegetarian dishes as well. The varieties of beer may leave you reeling, but the bocks are a must-try. OK, the bocks will leave you reeling, too... :-)
Visited this place with a family of ten. Great self-serve food and drinks with large outside garden and playground for the kids. A little difficult to navigate to if your a first timer but definitely worth it if your looking for a feel of the local atmosphere.
In short, well look at the title for a description of the food. It is located conveniently near the company I work for so,we regularly go there in stead of out canteen. It's nice to be able to sit outside when it is sunny.

A Tourist's Biergarten. It's touted as the biggest biergarten in the region and it MAY be but there are other BETTER biergartens. The children's play area is small and the food is what I would consider German fast food.
It's a beer garden. They don't serve duck or food grad. They do serve fresh hot schnitzel, wurst, flame kuchen and a great variety of beer. Outdoor and casual. What you would expect. Good prices.
Great for large groups. Has BBQ. Speak English and German. Has a small playground in the back for kids. Variety of alcoholic drinks. Nicely designed and structured.
I am partial to the Schwabengarten because it's not a bad walk from my house. That being said, there are some positives for people who don't live nearby....

This is one of the true beer gardens in the Stuttgart area. The beer is good the food is good and the atmosphere is good.
