In short the best dinner we had in the black forest and if I come back to the area I would make a detour to eat here again. We were sent there for dinner by our guest house, and found the small charming place full, even on a Tuesday evening after a holiday. We did not expect to find such great food and atmosphere in a small sleepy town. The barkeep/waiter (and probably owner was extremely friendly and funny, speaking good English and recommending local dishes, often going around the room and laughing with tables. The only restaurant in our 1-week vacation where we were 2x. Here in the photo we were the 2nd time. At the first visit I had a deer goulash on napkin dumplings, it was just an absolute dream! During the 2nd visit we took both Wiener Schnitzel, which I had already eaten in Munich, Cologne, Vienna and everywhere. In the Black Forest House, my accompaniment and I sat the best in our lives. Beverages: a very good and absolutely very cheap white wine, which I have ordered directly at the winery. Here you can get served in the restaurant 0.5l at a price where you get 1 glass in Cologne. Conclusion: Super price performance ratio, if I should make another holiday in this region, I will go to dinner...
We've been looking for a good place today and spotted the Black Forest House by chance. A typical Black Forest resort with very friendly and attentive staff. The Corona rules are implemented very well. The food was very tasty, you realize this is cooked with pleasure and love. The Pommes are a tip for me, as they used to be super delicious. We'll definitely be back.
Excellent! We were there in October 2020 and tried the courts. Hirschschnitzel and the cattle jaws were both super tasty and worth every cent. Prices are very fair for the size and quality of food. A clear 5-star house. Half a star trigger is available for the long waiting period. But it's definitely worth it.

This is not really traditional. The beer and the French fries were good. Please do not order the steak or steak salad. Really bad quality regarding the ingredients. The service was OK.
