What can I say, this place came recommended to us so we were excited to try it after days of very bland food elsewhere. The evening got off to a bad start after ordering drinks from the quite rude waitress, almost 5 euros for soft drinks which is outrageous, the lemonade arrived and was obviously from a bottle that had gone flat, the waitress wasn 't having any of it, wouldn 't replace and kept insisting it had bubbles whilst pointing at the solitary bubble desperately clinging to life at the bottom of the very flat lemonade. The food came, nicely presented, looked impressive and it was OK, you can 't go wrong really with buying meat from a butcher and cooking it on a rotisserie? The 'roast ' potatoes were warmed up and rubbery though. All in all, I can 't recommend, it 's a tourist trap with some of the worse service I 've had in a restaurant setting worldwide
Not the best experience here.When we walked in, we were left by the door for quite a while... the staff seemed very busy, but no one greeted us, so we stood for a while and waited. It was a hot day and the grill area is really hot so we were sweating before we even sat down.We got sat down and ordered our food. I found the meat too fatty - I only ate half as I was cutting around the ridiculous amount of fat. I know that's due to the type of meat I chose, but it wasn't as good as I expected from reviews on here.Towards the end of our meal, a family decided to change a baby's nappy at the table while we were eating. The restaurant staff didn't know what was happening, so it wasn't their fault, but with all the fat, that turned our stomachs and we paid and left.Probably wouldn't return.
I've been scanning the reviews beforehand, but when I ate here, my expectations were greatly passed. I had the house specialty, the schweinhaxe, and it was so soft and juicy, the meat fell off the bone. The drinks were good, the food delicious and cheap. If I have the chance, I would definitely come here again! Only point of critique is the small space in the place it self, but the food makes up for the possible waiting, believe me!
