Well, as it's name suggests, it is a restaurant serving mostly pork. In reality, it is a little bit like a pub inside.There are a range of schnitzel dishes and some with pork steak. We had one of each. They have an English menu.The food was fine, like good pub steak and chips (but pork). The portions are generous, but you can have smaller ones. Spatzle by the way is soft pasta which is then fried.Astra is the local beer and was excellent. Service was excellent also.
First, this place is cash only. But that's the only con. We visited because it was close and highly rated. The beer was great, food was superb (if you're looking for classic German), and service was excellent. It was also relatively inexpensive (24 Euros for 2 plates, 1 beer, and 1 glass of wine). Quick service, too. A good recommendation if you're in the area.

Not far from our hotel was this local restaurant. A good beer and wine, and a very good schnitzel (as we are used to have in Germany). The service was super fast and super nice. Went to Schweinske Hamm to get decent schnitzel and a great beer for a good price and that was exactly what we got. Clean place, quick service. Two plates, one side, two shots and one Strudel for €31. That's great. Walkable from NH Hotel Hamburg Horn; takes around 15min.
Je suis allé à cet endroit plusieurs fois. La nourriture et le vin sont bon marché. Le service est sympathique. De grandes portions et dans l'ensemble pas de mauvaise qualité. Meilleur restaurant de la région, mais il n'y en a pas beaucoup dans la région
This is the when you want the really heavy stuff without any finess at all; Make sure you are hungry when you go there because you will get a lot on your plate. This is a chain of restaurants that is a good substitute to the Mc Donalds of the world.

Good basic meals and breakfast service within a walking distance from Hotel Hamburg. Nothing fancy, but all polite and efficient for a quick meal. Good portion sizes, good value.
