Schwindts Restaurant

I discovered this place quite by accident--it was within walking distance of my hotel (An der Rennbahn, which I have reviewed elsewhere). It's a seafood restaurant, an excellent one, run by young Matthias Schwindt, who hails from Rügen in the North Sea. The menu is...extensive but also includes smaller plates if you don't feel like a big meal. I ordered perch-pike, which came with some delicious vegetables and small potato pancakes. The service was friendly and unobtrusive; it isn't a fancy place at all, just gemütlich friendly and comfortable. In good weather there is a garden with tables and umbrellas; otherwise you eat in a vault-like underground room that looks like a movie set for Pirat...

the staff is very nice, smiling and friendly. we came to pm and there was not enough light on the terrace so that they do not really see the menu (or their meal later). the menu was only in german, which gave us a hard time to choose. we got the mix plate to taste a bit of everything that the plate was full of baked kartoffels, vegetables that were neither salted nor seasoned. the fish was good. my partner has baked a fish in sesame, does not go too fat and there is not much fish in it. visa and mastercard are usually not accepted.

the restaurant fades is our favorite restaurant and we have been here many times. the equipment is very lovingly maritim in the cellar as well as in the beautiful garden and very cozy, easy to feel comfortable. the food offer is diverse and tastes very good, especially the fish offer is interesting and repeatedly enriched with new catches. the service staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. we just feel comfortable in this restaurant and like to come back.

during our vacation we visited shrinks based on the reviews of the travel advisor and we enjoyed our stay very much. we had not made a reservation, which is recommended, but they managed to find us a nice place in the packed restaurant. the service was excellent and the food was also great. we therefore recommend the restaurant for anyone who visits the big city dresden. After a week before we got no free space on a Saturday, we reserved a table (which was also of advantage this time!).The fish dishes are very appealing and we were not disappointed with the choice of our order. the service is very friendly and we felt very comfortable.

we have eaten here only dinners and it is said it is a fish restaurant that taste meat dishes as good as the fish. good honest (and much) eat on a beautiful scene. beautiful restaurant and pleasant service. we did not expect such a restaurant. in this opposite.

super friendly service, crowned by great appetizer and fantastic lead. all this in very beautiful ambiente, whether in the vaulted or in the cozy summer garden. as a hospitable one was really welcome.If fish then disappears!
