Scotch Lodge - Réservation de table

Wanted to try Scotch Lodge a couple of years ago, then COVID hit and shuttered all bars. Thankfully the Lodge survived, and appears to be thriving, and for good reason. This is a very comfortable space, that puts you at ease. The staff is welcoming and our bartender had an impressive knowledge of their whisky selection with none of the MWL “library” air of pretension and membership exclusivity. A great place for friends to have a conversation, and equally intimate for a date night drink. Might suggest a reservation since the word is out about this place. We stopped in @5pm on a weekend without one, and were lucky enough to get a seat at the bar. I've been collecting whisky during my biz trip...

We chose to enjoy a cocktail and some appetizers at Scotch Lodge before our late reservation for a much-acclaimed tasting menu by a James Beard-winning chef just around the corner. To our delight, the food and experience at Scotch Lodge completely outshone our "fancy" dinner! The atmosphere was reminiscent of some of the more unique bars we've visited in New York City, the food was exceptional, the cocktails were creative, and the service was excellent. We tried the seasonal apricot dish and the toast with whipped lard, both of which were phenomenal. Every bite was a delightful surprise, perfectly balanced in flavor. We are already eagerly anticipating our return to Portland so we can visit...

Everything about Scotch Lodge exuded a warm, homey vibe. This underground clubhouse features rich, dark wood and dim lighting that beautifully showcases its tasteful decor. We settled in at the bar and chose cocktails from the menu: an Islay Daiquiri and a Pandan Old Fashioned. Our bartender (I’m not sure if their name was Kaz, Katz, or Tat as it was hard to catch) was fantastic, offering great recommendations for other places in Portland that we might like. We also ordered beef tartare and savored every single bite.

This restaurant offers outstanding craft cocktails and a delightful, concise menu featuring expertly prepared dishes. The scallop tartare and pork belly were both exquisite. Although the whisky selection can be a bit daunting, it's also fascinating—especially for those who don't have their own collection. As for kid-friendliness, it's a bar, so not really suitable for children. Additionally, note that the place is only accessible via stairs. Réservez une table maintenant

Stopped in for a cocktail after dinner elsewhere nearby. Next time we'll come here for food! It smelled great and the options looked delicious. The cocktails are thoughtfully curated and absolutely delicious. And not just scotch on the menu, which was good for me!

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant, and my server, Ms. Jones, was outstanding. She truly went above and beyond, and I believe she deserves all the recognition and raises!

Best food I’ve had out in ages. Had the Aranchini, the heirloom Toms and the steak Tartare. Exceptional but not weird spicing. So good! I’d go again in a heartbeat. Réservez une table maintenant

I drove 15 miles to get here, only to find out they're closed for a private event. How disappointing!
