Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and decided to have an early dinner after looking at the menu. The pan fried Pickerel was amazing! Crisp skin and done to perfection. The calamari app was the best my husband has ever tasted. I had a flank steak app which I had thought was going to be on lettuce but wasn't. My fault. The flank steak was tender and enough for almost a lunch and the veggies that were with it had the most exquisite tastes. I'm actually not sure how they were prepared but they were lovely. Seeing as we live in Guelph we will be sure to come back and hope that they have the tiramisu available!
We had a wonderful lunch here to cap off a great girlfriends weekend getaway. It was recommended to us by a restaurant manager in Elora. We were pleasantly tired from a great last day of swimming at the Elora quarry and last-minute shopping that we couldn't decide what to have because the menu had lots of great choices. In the end we shared several dishes - all very good. We had: seafood linguine (yummy sauce!), margarita pizza, grilled calamari, and arugula salad (delicious homemade citrus dressing that they sell as well). A lovely spot. Highly recommend it!
Every time i come here, i am suprised it is not swamped. Great historic inn in downtown gergus. The service is impecable but maybe a bit slow kitchen sometimes. Order the ribeye with pepercorn sauce and the mushroom dish. It is expensive but share as it is a large meal.I have had that steak 30 times or more and they do it perfect. That chef is an artist or they have the best supplier of beef around the keg does not hold a candle to them.They also make a carivore pizza that is a. Perfect mixture of sauce and items and cooked to perfection. Great place!
I ordered a vegetarian pizza - basically no toppings, the crust was thin but seemed under cooked yet the crust was hard as a rock. I didn't finished my meal. The service was slow, and gloomy. I'd much rather eat on the pub side of the restaurant. Réservez une table maintenant
