Another Friday night and I was wondering what to eat. After driving by countless times, my curiosity finally got the better of me, so I decided to stop by Sea King in Ellicott City. I loved the charming seaside decor and was impressed by their extensive menu. Since it was a rainy day, I opted for some comfort food. I debated between 5 and 10 wings, and I'm glad I chose 10— they were deliciously satisfying. I also enjoyed the hearty mac and cheese and barbecue beans; it was a great choice, and I'll definitely return to try more from their menu.

My wife and I have been loyal customers of Sea King for many years, but our loyalty has recently ended. When we called to ask about the availability of Fresh Jumbo Lump Maryland Crabmeat, we were informed that they had plenty in stock. However, when we arrived at the store, we found only one unappealing pound in the display case. When we requested another pound from the back refrigerator, the clerks at the register seemed hesitant to assist us. Although we asked them to leave the unsatisfactory pound in the case, they took it with them while searching for another. The owner or manager then informed us that we could only buy the pound on display, as retrieving another would disrupt the rotati...
Do not be discouraged if the crab house is closed. My father and I got to sit down in front before it was open. It was 50 dollars for more than a dozen. You need to pay for the butter, but it's real butter. If you need to, ask them to warm it up. The crab meat was firm and outstanding, sweet even.Parking: We were the only ones there at the time. It's incredible how it worked out.
Save your money and go somewhere else. The crabs were so light and tasted old. The cream of crab tasted off. It was so quiet in the restaurant you felt uncomfortable. Almost 300 dollars wasted. The service took so long and three drinks were dropped on my son during our service. We were not brought anything we requested mallots, butter and drinks. Not worth it.

I came into the store at 7:20 pm not knowing that they closed at 7:30. However, the man that waited on me still treated me with the utmost respect. He even explained the differences between the jumbo lump crabmeat from Venezuela and Louisiana, adding that he thought he would have had Maryland jumbo lump by now. Just a pleasant experience.
This local seafood and BBQ carryout offers some truly exceptional dishes that keep us coming back for more. We can’t get enough of the colossal crab cakes, brisket sandwiches, twice-baked potatoes, cream of crab soup, and their incredible corn fritters. The homemade coleslaw is the best we’ve ever tasted!
We ordered Large Crabs- they were okay. It appeared the Crabs were old, very light in weight and not much juice from the Steamed Crabs. They had no drawn butter for sale. I would take a second thought before I buy from them again. Not impressed at all.Food: 2/5
Waited 50 minutes for a fried shrimp platter, went to the counter 4 times and every time the young man was saying 5 minutes. The fried shrimp was the worse I've ever had. I will not go back, or recommend anyone I know to go there.Food: 1/5

I absolutely love getting my crabs from this place! They don’t over-season them, and I’ve never received any that were empty or light. I believe they have other food options as well, but I’m all about their crabs!
This restaurant serves the finest Imperial crab cake and shrimp salad. I'm looking forward to trying their cod and catfish platter on my next visit. Food: 5/5
