Table of 13 of us, New Year’s Day, 3 of us ordered the goodness bowl, meant to have sweet potato in it, I had 3 tiny bits, not pieces, I added salt and pepper squid, there were only 5 tiny pieces, the bowl was over filled with spinach leaves, like when u buy a $2 spinach bag from coles, the dressing was lovely, howler not much on the salad, making it dry, because of the overload of spinach leaves, I had to pay a surcharge on top of it, I don’t mind paying $29 for a meal, but make it a meal, not a salad, very disappointed.I told the waitress, she said ok, didn’t seem to care, I sent a message to Seaton hotel, no one bothered to reply or ring me, There is just no care factor anymore, Cheers Si...
We ordered garlic bread as a starter and it arrived well after the main meals. It tasted of cheese but we ordered plain and when we complained the waitress was very aggressive. We asked for no salad but just onion with a steak and were told this could not be done but when the meals arrived the salad had onion on it. We ordered desserts and were brought children's desserts instead of adults. The waitress said they were busy but if you can't deliver the food don't take the orders. Have been here before but was very disappointed this time and won't be coming again.
To be fair the Seaton has been up and down over the last year or so....kitchen staff must come and go.. very evident from the dining room.. last two visits it's been rather quiet.. Haven't been to the local for a while as last year it got real bad...but seems to be on a good streak. Seems a new year and a new change in the kitchen. Glad to say food is back to were it used to be.. Snittys are great.. The salad bar has improved.. Some one in the kitchen can even cooks steak properly... rare... Thanks and keep up the great work..
Used to come here a fair bit a few years ago but the standard dropped and we gave it a miss. We went back last weekend to see how it was and was pleasantly surprised. It was back to the good meals it had previously, probably better. Snitty was sensational and a good size without hanging over the plate dripping in oil. The rest of the menu items looked great. The salad bar even though it wasn’t a huge selection and I’m not a fan of them anyway was also nice. Def back on the list again! The staff I might ad were also lovely.
