When I finished the Tegernsee with my friends, I told them that I would like to have my lunch in a place that is on the lake side and I can watch the beautiful picturesque views. You told me I'm crazy and there's no such place. But the dream is true and with Seehaus Cafe I could enjoy my lunch with beautiful views. Meals here are extremely good and it is also vegetarian friendly. Deserts are just as good. The staff I can say was simply amazing and although the menu was in English, she helped us translate it in English. Overall an excellent experience. If I ever need peace and I'll go back to Munich to this place. Thank you. Seehaus for such an amazing host. You gave me one of the most beautiful memories of my life.
We had a light lunch here and it was very good. Service perhaps a little slow but that seems to be common for the region. We had a lovely table on the deck overlooking the lake and the deck was in fact over the water... it could be seen between the floorboards under our feet. We ate ciabatta rolls with cheese and tomato and they were fresh and tasty. Only cash is accepted here too which is an unusual trait for a lot of Bavarian places, especially if they are wanting the tourist trade.
We chose our Sunday breakfast here as a family. The location is fantastic, the food was good (small portions, though, when considering the price), but, the service was not good! The lady was unfriendly, she forgot or maybe ignored some... It happened three times that we remembered or asked again!
Bad service, took 45 minutes to get some scrambled eggs. 5 meals came out at separate times and the staff could not confirm what meal was (we had some special nutritional requirements in our party). Waitress argued with me when he was challenged, then accused us for... water!
