My family and I were very pleased with this restaurant. It is perfectly located by the water, you are right next to it. There is plenty of space outside, so even if it is busy, you have a good chance of finding a table if...you wait around a little. Or the inside is large, so it is great if you are seeking something cooler or the weather is bad. The service was great for us, very friendly and fast when ordering. The menu is much larger than I would have thought for such a space and ranges in cuisine options. We tried a lot of different dishes and appetizers and everything was great. I stopped here while walking around town after seeing so many people sitting outside with what looked like amazing milkshakes, but couldn't find anything resembling them on the menu. When I asked our waitress about them, she said they were eiskaffees literally a scoop of ice cream in brewed coffee basically, pure genius!! You'll pay a slight premium, but it's worth it to sit outside and enjoy the prime lakeside views. Why else come to Tegernsee if not to enjoy the scenery! This was such a treat on a warm fall afternoon. There's free wifi in the area and a nice bathroom upstairs in the restaurant.
The location of the place is absolutely lovely with a nice lake view. Place is pet friendly and they offered a water for our dog. Food was nice with reasonable prices. It is a good place to sit and enjoy a meal after a a...walk around the lake. Only problem was that the place was crowded but there was not enough staff to handle all the orders. We had to wait for some time before we can order and then pay for our bill.
We decided to have our Sunday breakfast here as a family. The location is fantastic, the food was good (small portions though when looking at the price), but, the service was not good! The lady was unfriendly, she kept on forgetting or maybe ignoring some items we ordered! It happened three times that we gave up on reminding or asking again!

Poor service, took 45 mins to get some scrambled eggs. 5 meals came out at separate times and staff could not confirm which meal was which (we had some specific dietary requirements in our party). Waitress argued with me when challenged, then charged us for tap water!
A lovely, small cafe next to the lake, perfect for a quick bite and drink. Friendly, fast service and good food. Enjoyed a sandwich, caprese salad and Irish coffee on a beautiful fall afternoon. One of my favorite memories of Germany.
