All in all I had an enjoyable dinner at Seehof. The restaurant is located at Walenstadt Hafen (harbour) which, by the way, is at least a 20-minute-walk away from the railway station. The staff was welcoming and friendly. However the service got rather slow towards the end of the dinner - it took quite a long time for the staff to take my dessert order!Food was good with adequate portions. As starter I chose the lamb's lettuce "Seehof": as advertised on the menu, the salad included generous portions of bacon and croutons, but I definitely missed the nuts (I counted three tiny pieces!!). As main course I opted for the tasty "Walenseepoesie" - a fish duo comprising of boiled trout fillet (served with a delicious herb sauce) and fried perch fillets (light and not greasy at all). As dessert the crème caramel did its job properly.Prices are at the usual Swiss (high) level.

Indoor and outdoor seating are available. The wait staff is very attentive. The menu is varied, including fish, pasta, meat, and salads. Hot food is HOT, cold food is COLD! Dining environment is pleasant for large, formal groups as well as small or large, relaxed family-style settings. Menus were provided to us in English as well as German. Children's menus and smaller portions are also available.

We had dinner here one night and the waitress was very helpful explaining the menu as it was in German. The food was delicious and you could help yourself from the salad buffet. The schnitzel I had was so big the waitress wrapped what I couldn't finish in tin foil to take away. We had a lot of food in a lovely atmosphere and reasonably priced.

Stayed there for one night before going to ski on Flumserberg. The rooms are OK but highest standard. There was a carneval party at the restaurant (Fassing) that was really fun to watch and to participiet in . The food and the drinks were really god.
