Seehof - Réservation de table

We had a great experience eating at the Seehof Restaurant in Herrsching. My wife had the the bass and I had the Schweinekrustenbraten. They were both very good and very traditional Bavarian dishes. The Schweinekrustenbraten (pork shoulder roast with skin) was very well done with a dark beer sauce and potato dumplings. It is really one of the better servings of this Bavarian specialty that I have had. The service was good. At first they said they did not have any open tables, but then found one for us. If the weather is nice, I would highly suggest the outside seating. It has a wonderful vier of the Ammersee.

We visited the Restaurant as a family of five. It was quite busy and we had to wait for a table to become free (of empty plates and glasses) It took a long time for someone to take our order and the food came after a long wait as well. Two of us had a mixed lake fish dish, which consisted of small pieces of fish fillets that had been overcooked and quite unpleasant a shame for a lakeside venue. This was pointed out to the waiter who shrugged his shoulders. I know Bavarian service is not known for it's efficiency but I'm afraid our visit was a low point of our trip to the area.

The atmosphere is typical Bavarian and wonderful. The location is right on the lake so summer outside in the beer garden would be super. Today however the weather was cool and extremely windy. We ate inside and the service was good. Our dog was welcome under the table. The food was really good. We started with soup and then had a platter for two. I wish my bowl had been bigger because the soup was so good. We had the maroonen( roasted chestnuts) and apple cream soup. Fantastic.

We tried to eat here but the man at the host stand outside waved a dismissive hand at us and walked away when we asked him if he spoke English. We tried a second time and he did it again. So we walked across the path to Anna Marie’s Seeliebe which was delicious and they were so nice and welcoming. Réservez une table maintenant

We had lunch here on a rainy day. We were inside and had views of the lake. Our wine was a lovely Franken Sylvaner, one of the best in our trip. Our waiter was super friendly and cheerful. The food was good. We each had the fish,

I can't understand some of the negative reviews but perhaps we didn't sample enough of the menu. Our bouillabaisse was great a nice variation with a saffron pernot base. The views and location are fantastic.

A good restaurant in front of Hotel Seehof Herrsching on the edge of lake Ammersee. Good food and drink. Large menu choice. Beautiful surrondings. Worth a visit. Car parking very close.

Overpriced and bad service. The only thing going for it is the view. I had to search for the waiter each time I needed him. Including to order and pay. I'm... Réservez une table maintenant

Had a pizza and a soda at the beergarden. The pizza looks good but is quite bad. Cheap quality sauce, cheese, and dough. Sodas are too expensive also.

Perfect t stop in our trav. Helpful and informative staff. Would recommend to anyone traveling throughout southern Germany and the European union.
