Seilbahn Cafe - Réservation de table

On our second night in Ruedesheim, we were looking for somewhere to dine and saw this restaurant which looked very attractive from outside. We were seated in the garden area and given the menu. It was very quiet and service could have been quicker. Our order of Calamari with salad and Saffron Rice and Pork Schnitzel with chips and a salad was taken. The Pork Schniztel covered the dinner plate and couldn't be finished - there were no half portions mentioned on the menu! We asked for the bill, and as usual were ready to hand over a card for payment, only to be told that they don't take cards -cash only, and were told we should have asked when we entered the restaurant. We stopped there just to have a drink, everything was good utill my mom came later and the 'older' waiter said no, not possible! Then he saw we were playing a card game and he went crazy, he said not allowed, this is a restaurant , we were shocked as it did not look like a classy restaurant , even the map was not restaurant worthy and only 3 tabels were taken.We just payed and left immediatly as this was a shocking experience we had never seen before. We don't understand this cause we are a group of 6 and wanted to stay here to spend the evening. There are far more beautiful places to drink and enjoy your time then here. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!

Was at this restaurant with friends. Great service and the food was super with large portions. One has to try the schnitzel. Mine was the entire size of my plate. The meat was very tender, came with fries and a salad. For desert we had the Rudersheim coffee which is done with whipped cream and Ashbach which was great and worth trying. They also serve cake and totes. This place is worth checking out.

We stopped in because the place posted an interesting menu. We read it in German and understood what was offered. When I asked the server about milk or cream in some of the dishes she just brought me a menu card printed in English, and said all the dishes were served with sauces already prepared. We left hungry. We stopped in for afternoon drinks and cake. They have a good selection of cakes and pastries. The service is friendly if unhurried which suited our laid back holiday. They specialize in Rudesheimer Coffee which looked very alcoholic and on fire. Didn't try it though. Nice central location away from the river.

You cannot visit Ruedesheim without having it's 'coffee specialty'. Warmed Brandy poured over sugar cubes placed over strongly brewed back coffee, flamed, swirled, extinguished, and then topped with whipped cream! Too die for.

Good food and drinks. The food was well prepared and presented Ann's the service was also very good. The meal was very large for British standards so really good if you are hungry. Thanks.

Stopped here for an evening meal because it looked popular. Service was good but food was average and not cheap but absolutely nothing wrong with it. Just nothing special. Réservez une table maintenant

You can only order what is on the menu without any changes, they can't serve a weizen radler, i was brought beer with a side of sprite, i would recommend going elsewhere

Attractive entrance but a bit run down as you get further in - however, the coffee and cake we had for lunch we enjoyed.
