**Pros:** The service was excellent and very friendly. Our food arrived quickly; we had a reservation for 5 p.m. and finished our meal by 5:45 p.m. The bread, which is their specialty, was delicious. It was clear that everything was prepared with high-quality ingredients and made fresh to order. The atmosphere was also very pleasant.
**Cons:** However, I found everything to be a bit pricey. Given that Semolina offers a strictly Italian menu with limited options, I was hoping for a level of perfection that was lacking. The gnocchi was overcooked, the Carbonara was excessively rich with the addition of cream, and the Panna Cotta was too loose, resembling yogurt more than a traditional dessert...
The food here is outstanding! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The dining room is small and cozy, and it was quite busy on a Friday night. While the noise level was high, that might have been due to the table next to us. Our server was fantastic, and unlike what some other reviewers mentioned, we never felt rushed. The burrata appetizer was incredibly creative, featuring spaghetti squash, a seed medley, and a thyme dressing—such a delightful change from the usual tomato and basil presentation. Overall, a wonderful experience!
Semolina is an outstanding restaurant. The staff is consistently friendly, and I’ve never been let down by the food. With a seasonal menu, we make it a point to visit once each season. The dishes strike a wonderful balance between innovation and comfort. Last year, we had our wedding reception catered by Semolina, and they prepared a stunning four-course dinner for the occasion. Chuck, the owner, was extremely accommodating throughout the entire process, even addressing some dietary needs of our guests. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Semolina is my favorite restaurant in NJ. Chuck and his staff are always incredibly kind attentive. The food is always top notch. My wife and I have been coming here every season for 3 years now and have never had a bad meal. Chuck even catered our wedding and all of our guests raved about the food. There's not a bad thing I could ever say about the food or staff at this place. Truly a grade A establishment from top to bottom. Thank you Semolina! I'm so grateful to have a place like this local that I can frequent. See y'all again soon!
Amazing restaurant, the food is amazing,very tasty, the presentation of the food are beautiful and the restaurant itself is beautiful, The only think I didn't like was the dessert menu, it needs improvement and please, remove completely the Lemon pound cake from the dessert menu and add something with Chocolate because there was nothing with chocolate. Finally had the chance to make it over from semolina after constantly hearing rave reviews! It absolutely lived up to all expectations and then some ! Menu is creative and every thing we ate had some love in it! Highly recommend , apps, pasta and main dishes all a 10! Service was perfect, and most importantly all employees looked like they loved being a part of the team! Love that. Can’t wait to get back!
My husband and I eat at Semolina often. It’s our neighborhood place and so much more. The food is always fabulous and the service is warm and welcoming. It’s our go to date night spot, it’s our “I don’t feel like cooking tonight” spot, it’s my girl’s might out spot, it’s one of our all time favorite spots to dine at for any reason. I already have my reservation booked for when we come home from vacation!
