Not great. It was nothing like I expected. The enchiladas were described as being filled with chicken and topped with multiple cheeses, along with a creamy tomatillo sauce and Mexican crema. However, the amount of cheese inside was minimal, almost undetectable, and despite the promised richness of the sauces and melted cheese on top, the enchiladas ended up tasting like dry, white chicken wrapped in a tortilla. I've never compared another restaurant in a review before, but if the chefs or owners of Señor Chile's tried the Enchiladas Suizas at Mi Linda Cancun Grill in Annapolis, they would have a lot to learn about preparing this dish. Unfortunately, this was my first meal here, and I'm hesit...
A masterpiece of marketing but a showcase of mediocrity. Step inside and take a look around. Do you notice any Mesoamericans dining here? Probably not—an indication that something might be off. Now, observe the chef at the grill. He takes chicken, shrimp, and skirt steak straight from the cooler—none of it marinated, just raw portions. Plop! Onto the grill it goes, with one side completely unseasoned. But don’t worry; a hefty drizzle of industrial oil follows, topped off with a generous sprinkle of seasoning salt. Is that enough? It should be. If you enjoy it, that’s great for you. It's perfectly fine, but honestly, that’s all it is—just fine.
This is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant of all time! GOAT. it's festive and comfortable, the service is always prompt and friendly. But, most of all, the food and drinks are simply tastier than other Mexican spots in the area. There is no better place to underscore this than from another Mexican restaurant. I chose to stay closer to home tonight rather than make the trip to Senor Chile's and I regret it 100%. Senor Chile's is soooo worth the trip. I'll post pics next time I'm there!!
This is the best Mexican food I've ever experienced. I tried the birria quesadilla for the first time, and it was the most delicious quesadilla I've ever had—better than anywhere else I've been. The meat was incredibly tender, and the combination of onions and cilantro complemented it perfectly. I would definitely give it a 10 out of 10. The ambiance is fantastic, the service is excellent, and the food is absolutely delicious! I dined in for dinner, and the price per person was around $10–20. I would rate the food a full 5 out of 5, as well as the service and atmosphere. I highly recommend trying the Chimichanga, Birria Tacos, and Enchiladas de Mole.
