Sfoglia Bologna Al Mattarello

Lovely atmosphere and service when we went, pleasant dining room which had character, even though it was a quiet lunchtime. We had a seafood pasta and a ragu dish, both very satisfying and delicious. They are Coeliac UK certified and my gluten free pasta and breads were of really high quality. I don’t think many would have been able to tell it wasn’t regular pasta. We’ll definitely return to sample the menu further.

We were disappointed with our dinner at Mattarello. The pasta was rather bland and the portion sizes were small and I was expecting more given the price. Our starter was also forgotten and while the staff seemed nice they seemed unable to cope as the service was very slow.

Brilliant food. The Tagliatelle with mushroom was excellent. Tiramasu was very tasty. Staff was very welcome, spoke to the chef while she was doing the pasta at the window!

They advertised they were open and accepted our reservation. We paid for a cab to the restaurant only for them to be closed over an hour early. Disappointed

how to feel at home! incredible eating and very friendly staff. federica, the chef is extremely talented, her crescentine are a dream!
