I LOOOOVE Shaka Tacoz. An absolute must-do on the Big Island is eat Shaka Tacoz. They have consistently exceeded our expectations with their delicious tacos and stunning views. Whether we 're visiting the original location or their newer spot, this has become a must-do on every Big Island trip. The quality of the tacos never disappoints, and the added bonus of enjoying them with a picturesque backdrop and friendly gecko companions makes it an awesome experience. The staff is pretty amazing as well. If you 're planning a trip to the Big Island, be sure to include Shaka Tacoz on your itinerary...we tend to plan our days around eating here.
Of course the atmosphere is the best, being in Kona on Alii drive not far from the ocean. We order the Carne Asada Quesadilla and it was impeccable. Flavor was excellent and the Head Chef Chris was so friendly and personable. Highly recommended quality food. Thanks Chris and Shaka Tacos!!
This place was our favorite restaurant we went to. The fish tacos and the carne asada quesadilla were stand outs. Sadly, we went on our last day, Thursday, and they were closed. Definitely a gem, and the cooks were nice to talk to and friendly.
Great food and great service! The staff is so friendly and welcoming and the food is out of this world. We're from Texas and I've gotta say these were the best tacos we've had perfect balance of flavor, great sauces and the view can't be beat!

My wife got the spicy pork tacoz and I got the Ono fish tacoz. Both were exceptional. The cheese tortillas gave it a little crispiness while the Shaka sauce and fresh garnishes gave these tacos phenomenal flavor.
Sat next to a girl on the plane headed for university who suggested Shaka was the best tacos on the island. After eating here I have to agree. Highly recommend
Great tacos! Sometimes there’s a long wait but it’s worth it! Parking: Parking can be difficult but we usually park across the street and simply walk over.
Great food and super view out back! Cute little pet geckos on the back patio love the mango salsa !
